The Amels 272 is steadily taking shape in The Netherlands, following her hull arrival in January. Her superstructure is firmly in place, and delivery is on schedule for late 2016.
The Amels 272 is the “Grand Dame,” in the yard’s words, of its Limited Editions offerings. To put her size into perspective, she’s the first to put Amels’ new dry dock to use.
Seen in the photos here, it measures 656 feet long (200 meters long).
Interesting enough, the Amels 272 is also the shipyard’s largest megayacht to date.
However, while she’ll remain the largest Limited Editions offering, she may not remain the biggest-ever Amels. The yard is in discussions with potential clients on fully custom craft of about 279 (85 meters) and longer.
